Communities In Schools (CIS) is a national network of passionate professionals, partnering with community stakeholders, public and private school personnel, families, and students to promote academic and behavioral student success. Through provision of evidence-based services, CIS surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization and ensuring that the organization has sustainable resources. In conjunction with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for fulfilling the organization's strategic plan; developing and implementing strategies to meet the goals and objectives; and developing good working relationships with local District school administrations. The Executive Director is responsible for fund development; overseeing administration of programs; selecting, managing and evaluating the staff; and tracking and reporting to the Board on how well CIS of Lenawee is meeting its objectives for the students it serves and advising the Board on strategic means to improve that performance.
